Breaking news: Jose Mourinho sacked as Chelsea manager
The Portuguese boss was sacked this afternoon after club owner Roman Abramovich and board had series of emergency meetings last night. Mourinho's last match in charge was the disastrous 2-1 loss to Leicester city and with rumours of player unrest in the media, the club have acted and sacked him.
Abramovich could be forced to pay Mourinho more than £40million after the Portuguese manager signed a four-year deal this summer. Guus Hiddink could be lined up as the next replacement.
Mourinho lost support within the Chelsea hierarchy after his bust-up with former club doctor Eva Carneiro during the 2-2 draw with Swansea on the opening day of the season.
Stars of last season’s campaign including Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic and Cesar Azpilicueta have been criticized by their manager in front of their peers, leading to splits in the camp.
This was Mourinho's second spell in charge of Chelsea and he was sorely disappointed with his players after Chelsea's 9th loss of the season to Leicester.
After the game,he told the press;
'Sometimes I find myself thinking last season I did an amazing job, brought players to a level not their level. If this is true I brought to such a level they couldn't keep for more than super-motivation to be leading. That is one possibility.'“One of my best qualities is that I can read the game and identify the strengths of the opponent and tell my players what they are,” Mourinho said. “So it it is a big frustration to accept the goals because my work was betrayed, if that is the right word.
“I worked four days in this match. I prepared everything related to the opponent. I identify four movements where they scored almost every their goals.
“My players got all that information in last three days, you can ask them, they are honest guys who will tell you it is true.
“But in the situations I identify, we concede the first and second goal. The mistakes were there.”
Despite his decision to publicly criticise his players for failing to stick to the game plan, Mourinho insisted he was ready to fight on as manager.
“The only thing I can say is that I want to be (the manager.)” Mourinho said. “I have no doubts and I think that you know me well enough, six years here, that I am not afraid of a big challenge.
“At this moment, it is a real big challenge and I want to stay. I hope Mr Abramovich and the board want me to stay.
“I know that the board wants the best for this club. I would like the board to analyse the situation, the budget, the balance of the club and what they were expecting.”
With Chelsea now hovering just one point above the relegation zone, the club's board decided to act.

Tyson Fury stri*ped Of IBF Title Less Than Two Weeks After Winning It… See Why!!!
The Briton, 27, had to agree to fight the IBF’s mandatory challenger
Vyacheslav Glazkov but will instead face Wladimir Klitschko in a
rematch.
Fury beat Ukrainian Klitschko on points on 28 November to claim three versions of the heavyweight crown.
Lindsey Tucker, championships chairman at the IBF, told BBC Sport: “It’s true he’s been stri*ped of his IBF belt.”
He added: “Our challenger was Vyacheslav Glazkov, but instead Fury’s gone and signed a rematch clause with Wladimir Klitschko.”
Fury, who is unbeaten in 25 professional contests, retains the WBA and WBO versions of the heavyweight title, while the WBC belt is held by American Deontay Wilder.
The 31-year-old Glazkov, also a Ukrainian, has won 21 of his 22 professional fights.
The contract for last month’s title fight in Dusseldorf included a clause for a rematch, for which the date and the venue have to be decided, and Klitschko – who had been world champion for 11 years – announced last week he would take up the option.
Fury has been at the centre of controversy following his comments about women and gay people.
The Manchester fighter has been quoted as saying a woman’s “best place is on her back” and has criticised homosexuality and abortion.
He subsequently said: “Tyson Fury loves his fellow humans. He doesn’t hate anybody.”
Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police are investigating an allegation of hate crime against Fury after a complaint was received following comments the fighter made on the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme.

S*x Tape Scandal: No Place For Karim Benzema In France National Team – French PM
The French Prime Minister joined in the criticism of Karim Benzema on Tuesday,
saying the Real Madrid striker “has no place” on the France team at the
European Championship in the wake of a blackmail scandal involving
teammate Mathieu Valbuena.
Source: RTL radio, Linda Ikeji’s blog
Benzema is one of France’s key players as it gets ready
to host the Euro 2016 tournament, but he faces allegations of teaming up
with a friend to extort money from teammate Mathieu Valbuena using
blackmail over a s*x tape the Lyon midfielder recorded.
His alleged active role in pressuring France teammate
Mathieu Valbuena has badly damaged his reputation and could even earn
him the sack at Real Madrid.
A great athlete should be exemplary,” Prime Minister
Manuel Valls told French radio Europe 1. “If he is not, he has no place
within the France team.”
The investigation, started when Valbuena took legal
action after being contacted by a man claiming to possess an
incriminating s*x tape.
In a case that could drag on for months, Benzema’s
involvement has not yet been fully determined. But investigators who
charged him in October believe he was approached by a childhood friend
to act as an intermediary and convince Valbuena to deal directly with
the black mailers, it should be noted that Benzema in 2008 did the same
thing with Djibril Cisse over a s*x tape.
“If a minister was handed preliminary charges, he would no longer be part of the government,” Valls said.
Benzema denies any wrongdoing but his arguments were
undermined last week when Valbuena spoke directly about his attempts to
pressure him in an interview with Le Monde newspaper.
“There are so many kids, so many youngsters in our
suburbs that relate to great athletes,” Valls said. “They wear the blue
jersey, the colors of France, which are so important in these moments.”
Benzema’s laywer hit back at French prime minister Valls.
“So what’s the prime minister doing about presumption of
innocence?” Alain Jakubowicz said on RTL radio. “This case is being
played out in the media in an absolutely scandalous way, prompting the
prime minister to express himself on a case he knows absolutely nothing
about. Who will it be tomorrow? The president of France?”

Spanish Footballer Gets One-Year Ban For Slapping Female Referee With His man-hood
The player, from the Andalusian First Division, felt aggrieved about a decision and, in the 80th minute, took out his man-hood and attempted to slap the assistant referee with it.
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, a disciplinary committee decided to punish the player with ‘a one-year suspension of his federation licence, as well as a 468-euro fine’ for ‘performing a public act of common knowledge which was completely undignified and disrespectful to the assistant referee and the crowd present at the game’.
Taking into consideration the ‘social impact and significance of the act and its notorious and blatant nature’ as criteria, the committee only decided to implement a ‘medium-level’ punishment to the offender.
