The Nigerian army of 23 Army Guard Brigade organized the tour for journalists to all the areas insurgents visited in northern part of Adamawa state to show things with genuine facts of the military gallants victory over the insurgents, and to help in disseminating the information that normalcy have returned to all the affected areas.

According to the Elombah, major bridge linking Maiha and Hong was blown up by men of the Boko Haram stopping the military from launching any form of attacks but they created an access road inside Maiha, which was the first town of tour.

Before getting to Maiha the media have been seeing burnt vehicles and motorcycles belonging to the members of Boko Haram littering the roads, cars in tens were seen packed by the roads side and deserted by commuters for fear of been killed by the dreaded Islamic sect as the roads was heavily stocked off with too much vehicles hindering a fast movement, many prefer taking to their heels into nearby hideouts and many ran to the border of Cameroun.
The town of Maiha was scanty, people were seen moving around with the able security men of the Nigerian military for protection.
Col. Danladi Jibrin Abdullahi, the man who lead 23 Army Guard Brigade, in his address to the press said: “we want to take you round Mubi to see the significant success recorded by the Nigerian army’.’
The correspondent narrated further: ”Mubi town is empty; all Major roads were littered with decomposed human beings suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists; clothings, beddings and even kitchen utensils defected the town with serious unfriendly odour seeping out of houses and quarters; no single house is seen undamaged; all the mega churches in the town were raze down and countless houses were burnt down.”
“Taking the press to the market square through the major road, only few individuals were seen who got encourage by the security men seen parading the street with their minimal market stuff crying “Allah ya taimako,” meaning God will help the soldiers, making some sales around. In the market is where we saw few petty traders but more than half of the shops are under lock and keys and major part of the market got burnt down by Boko Haram.”

An eyewitness and resident of Lukadi inside Mubi town Abdullahi Musa, told journalist that if not because of Nigerian military the whole of Adamawa state would have been capture by Boko Haram.
“In my life I saw hell losing down; I never thought we can be free like this but because of these soldiers Mubi is safe for everybody to come back. May God continue to help our soldiers so that this wicked people will not resurface again.

“I am calling on our Emir to come back; I know if he does everybody will come back too,” Abdullahi said.
Immediately journalists left to Mubi, bad smells of dead human beings made the air unwanted; you see and hear flies buzzing the air from the unharvested farms of runaway IDPs; many vehicles belonging to Boko Haram were destroyed and motorcycles lined the road from Mubi to Maraba.
From Maraban Mubi to Kalaa dead corpse of insurgents littered the road; Kalaa Bridge was blown up by insurgents in order to frustrate the effort of the military.

The areas visited comprised of Maiha, Mubi, Maraban Mubi, Hong, Kalaa and Gombi which were earlier all captured by Boko Haram to be turned into an Islamic caliphate but Nigerian army have bravely retaken it and normalcy has since returned.
