Newly weds Flying In To Surprise Family For Easter Die When Their Private Plane Crashes Into A Hillside

David and Dr Margaret-Ann Rous (left), who had been married for less than a year died over the weekend while heading from their home in Dundee to visit relatives on the Hebridean isle of Tiree.

They were flying in Mr Rous's Piper Cherokee to spend the weekend on the island where Dr Rous (pictured, right, on her wedding day) grew up.

But they lost radar contact at around 1.50pm on Saturday in the remote Beinn Lus area of Glen Kinglass, six hours later the wreckage of the plane was discovered along with their bodies after a massive search involving Coastguard and Royal Navy rescue helicopters and an air ambulance (inset).
