My ‘GERARA HERE’ Slang Was Divine-Francis Odega

Comic actor,Francis Odega, has been around for quite sometime,but got his big break few months back,after a short clip from a movie he did, years back went viral. Infact, US rapper 50 Cents and Snoop Dogg even shared the clip on social media. The 15-minute excerpt from the movie, saw Francis Odega use the slang, Gerara Here, which has got him instant fame, along with good fortune, as it landed him a mouth-watering endorsement deal with a telecommunication giant in Nigeria.

Francis told NET in a chat that he never knew the movie he acted in that gave him rapid fame would trend the way it did because the slang was not in the original script. In his words:

“Honestly, I didn’t think it was going to become a global thing. In the script for real, that line 'Gerrara Here' was not included. I created it but not knowing it was going to blow. ‘Gerara Here’ was divine.”
